BlogTour KBIS sponsor Wilsonart is a world leader in engineered surfaces. Whether you’re looking for laminate, quartz, or anything in between, Wilsonart has a beautiful, durable surface to fit your needs. This is the second time I have explored a Wilsonart exhibit at the KBIS Show. Once again I was amazed by their latest engineered surfaces which always feature a “Wow” element.
Wellborn Cabinet is a family owned (3 generations!) company offering finely crafted kitchen and bath cabinets designed to help you maximize your total home living space. As visitors to the KBIS show with BlogTour KBIS, we were among the first to see Wellborn’s latest offerings: Aspire Cabinetry, their new Full Access Frameless line.
Just last year, luxury appliance brand Thermador celebrated their 100 year anniversary(!), a true testament to their quality products and commitment to innovation. After seeing their latest offerings in person with BlogTour at the KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) 2017 show in Orlando, I can tell you that Thermador is not resting on their laurels. They have introduced several new exceptional products this year at the KBIS 2017 show!
Today we are wrapping up our tour of the Historic Hingham Home that I had the pleasure of updating along with my client. Previously, I shared the finished Family Room, as well as the Media Room. The final two spaces we refreshed were the Kitchen and the back Stairwell.
I continue to work on my painting skills in my latest class. We have painted quite a few still life compositions and I am becoming more comfortable working on a larger canvas. I love the soft colors paired with the bold brushstrokes in this week’s painting. This week’s poem attempts to capture that contrast as well. What do you think?
This painting was inspired by a recent cover of Design New England magazine. I was drawn to the striking orange seats (of course)…
This is the 3rd and final installment of posts featuring the home of my client who has a zest for living and no fear when selecting paint colors. Today I’m showing off her kitchen ~ be sure to check out the Living Room and the Family Room in her cozy, colorful home.
The Kitchen space is compact but open, though not fully, to the Family Room. We knew the design of the two spaces would have to complement one another but we also wanted each space to be somewhat unique with it’s own design.
A star is born! I loved the opportunity to play investigative reporter at KBIS 2015 (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) this year during BlogTour Vegas. I was given the opportunity by Veronika of Modenus to interview Poggenpohl‘s Jeff Roberts. Our chat took place in the middle of the show floor, with lots of people passing by. Take a peek and see what you think…
Wood-Mode, a luxury custom cabinetry manufacturer and BlogTour Vegas sponsor, had one of the most popular booths on the show floor at KBIS. When you have exquisite cabinetry in a diverse range of styles, finishes, and applications you are sure to draw a crowd. However when you add puppies…well, talk about over the top!
The finishing touch of a cabinet in the Kitchen, Bath, or Closet is the adornment of the drawers and storage areas. Similar to accessorizing your ensemble, decorative hardware brings the bling and is the jewelry of the cabinet.
I was delighted to see that once again, BLANCO would be sponsoring our BlogTour trip. Last year during BlogTour Milan I became fast friends with Kristy Emens, Marketing Communications Manager at BLANCO, as I was introduced to the outstanding products that BLANCO offers for the kitchen including sinks, faucets and accessories. I certainly learned why BLANCO is the brand of choice in the luxury sink and faucet category ~ unparalleled quality and an inspirational breadth of design.
While attending BlogTourVegas and the KBIS show, I had the opportunity (actually, on several occasions) to learn about the many outstanding and innovative Thermador appliances with Zach Elkin, Director of Brand Marketing and his team.
Today I’d like to talk about Poggenpohl, one of our BlogTour Vegas sponsors. Poggenpohl was founded in 1892 in Germany and for more than 120 years, Poggenpohl “has continued to ‘improve the kitchen’, transforming it from a humble back room into a living space that’s at the heart of the home. Their pioneering history includes many firsts, including white lacquer kitchen furniture, ergonomic work-top heights, and the development of the kitchen island.”
Technical expertise, materials of the highest quality, meticulous craftsmanship and trend-setting design go into every Poggenpohl kitchen and I was quite intrigued to see their latest offerings at KBIS (Kitchen Bath Industry Show).
One of my favorite parts of any Interior Design is the details ~ the small touches that add panache and personality to a space. And one of my favorite details is the hardware for cabinetry and furniture. The knobs, pulls, and other hardware are truly jewelry for the room!
You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear that not only was Top Knobs, purveyor of fine hardware for kitchens, baths and beyond, a sponsor of Modenus’ BlogTour Vegas, but they are also currently running a cabinet hardware design contest, the Top Knobs Challenge. Count me in!
If you, like me, are a reader of Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, or a number of other high-end shelter magazines, you may have already seen the striking new By Brizo print campaign.
If a sink was sexy and elegant with lean lines and great bone structure, it would be BLANCO’s new, award-winning ATTIKA™ kitchen sink!

As part of the Brizo sponsored Blogger19 Reunion trip to Memphis, our entire group was treated to a behind the scenes look at what goes into creating the products of the Brizo brand. We spent an insightful day learning about research and development, touring the Delta factory where the Brizo line of products are made, and getting a first look at some of the amazing new Brizo products.
