This is one of my favorite times of the year to go to my mailbox. Along with the usual crush of junk mail and catalogs, December is when the holiday cards arrive! While it seems fewer and fewer people send out paper cards, I for one love receiving them. It’s especially exciting to open up a holiday card and be greeted with the smiling faces of family and friends. I just love to see how families are growing and changing!
Even though my own children are now in their 20s, I still enjoy sending a holiday greeting card with a photo. I haven’t yet decided on a design for this year, but it sure if fun looking ~ that’s why this week’s Posh Picks feature Holiday Photo Cards…

Last weekend I traveled with a dear friend to the “city that never sleeps”. If you’ve never been to New York during the Christmas season, you simply must go! Even more than usual, the city is stunning, vibrant and full of light. I had a ball taking in the energy of Manhattan and the sights of the season.

This week I had the privilege of hearing the one and only Bunny Williams speak at the Boston Design Center. Her new furniture and accessories line, BeeLine Home, is being stocked by the Lee Jofa showroom at BDC. In the words of Showroom Manager Bill Elinoff, Bunny Williams is “iconic, energetic, and inspirational”. Her new line is certainly reflective of these qualities!

The Container Store opened their third largest store in the Greater Boston area in Peabody this past weekend. I was lucky enough to be invited to a private pre-opening showing for local bloggers and let me just say, the store is dazzling!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the special pre-Grand Opening celebration at the newest Container Store location in Peabody, MA. Such a treat! I have loads of pictures to share from the event, which I will post next week. I’m traveling again this weekend. This time I’m in Chicago to visit my son, Freddy. I don’t get to see him nearly as often as I’d like so I’ve been counting down the days until this trip. This is also my first time in Chicago, I can’t wait to share pictures when I return!

One of my favorite design events of the year occurs annually in October at the Boston Design Center. Design Days are full of fabulous activities and it all starts with the Trend Report seminar conducted by our V.P. and General Manager, Julie Rogowski. Trends 2013 is “the definitive list of the most important design styles, colors and patterns sure to be on everyone’s hot list.”
