Pamela’s Posh Picks: My Favorite Christmas Cards
Dec 21 2012 ·1Capturing the annual Christmas card photo when my children were younger was not an easy task. After what seemed like 48 attempts, a few tears (theirs and mine), and possibly a bribe or two, finally we would have a ‘keeper’. Now that they are older, the process is, slightly, easier ;-).
Paint Like Van Gogh
Dec 20 2012 ·0I mentioned in yesterday’s post that my painting group’s next challenge topic is Paint Like Matisse, inspired by our trip to the Met. I thought you might enjoy seeing my painting from last month’s challenge at Girls Just Wanna Paint, Paint Like Van Gogh.
Matisse at the Met
Dec 19 2012 ·0While visiting NYC a couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of viewing the Matisse exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum during the member’s preview. The exhibit spanned his career and included paintings in pairs, trios and series. Matisse (1869-1954) was continually trying, as he put it, “to push further and deeper into true painting”. Along with my friend and fellow artist Page, we explored the exhibit, Matisse: In Search of True Painting.

Of course who says light has to be boring to be comforting? Certainly not me! Today’s Posh Picks showcase vibrant, upbeat, colorful, and stylish ways to bring light into your home.

Pamela’s Posh Picks: Holiday Photo Cards
Dec 07 2012 ·0This is one of my favorite times of the year to go to my mailbox. Along with the usual crush of junk mail and catalogs, December is when the holiday cards arrive! While it seems fewer and fewer people send out paper cards, I for one love receiving them. It’s especially exciting to open up a holiday card and be greeted with the smiling faces of family and friends. I just love to see how families are growing and changing!
Even though my own children are now in their 20s, I still enjoy sending a holiday greeting card with a photo. I haven’t yet decided on a design for this year, but it sure if fun looking ~ that’s why this week’s Posh Picks feature Holiday Photo Cards…
‘Tis the Season: Christmas in NYC
Dec 05 2012 ·1Last weekend I traveled with a dear friend to the “city that never sleeps”. If you’ve never been to New York during the Christmas season, you simply must go! Even more than usual, the city is stunning, vibrant and full of light. I had a ball taking in the energy of Manhattan and the sights of the season.
