What a great event Adam Japko and the team from Design Sherpa put on in Atlanta last week at the Design Bloggers Conference!  There was so much to process,  today I’m sharing 30 quick  takeaways from my experience…

1.  Establish Your Brand and Your Voice

2.  Leverage Your Blog

-your blog will not make you money directly but it can get you the attention you need to produce $$$

3.  Original content is King (or Queen)

-know your elevator speech, what your designs stand for

4.  Be Consistent on your Blog

5.  SEO is not a bad word!

-it’s all good, to be searched you have to use keywords so your blog can be found

6.  Be a good Community Member, leave comments!

7.  Most readers have an 8 second attention span: use photos and bullet points

8.  Repetition is Key: repost & publicize blog entries

9.  Put your phone number on your Blog ~ you want prospective clients to be able to reach you!

10.  Have a Tagline that you use all the time (XO)

11.  Analyze your numbers, Google Analytics at least once a week
