Pamela’s Posh Picks: Outdoor Planters

Apr 18 2013 · 4 comments · Posh Picks ·2

As Spring progresses, my terrace garden is beginning to reawaken with color and blooms.  I have several containers that I use year after year but I am always looking to add to my collection.  This week’s Posh Picks feature some fabulous options for Outdoor Planters if you’re looking to add some interest to your outdoor space.  Unlike in the past, today’s outdoor planters are constructed using materials that are much more durable and weigh much less ~ a winning combination for sure!…

Copper Planters from Horchow:

‘Modern copper-finished planters feature openings in bases for an artistic play of light and shadow.’

The metallic finish and modern, clean-lined shape define these eye-catching planters, great at an entry or on a deck!

I love everything about these planters, especially the pedestals.  Filled with plants that include  height in the center and trailers around the outer edges, these would look great at the entrance to a pool or patio!

Combining a contemporary container with a more traditional arrangement creates contrast and is a wonderful way to add interest in any space.

Italian Inspired Painted Planters from Frontgate:

There’s always room for color!  These planters would look great freestanding or nestled into a garden.

Brantley Woven Planter from Frontgate:

For a more casual look that is still elegant and durable, these all-weather wicker planters fit the bill!

Grecian Urn from Ballard Designs:

Classical and affordable, you can’t go wrong with a nod to tradition and any one of these Grecian Urn planters.
No matter what style container you chose for your outdoor space, take a peek at this article, Thrillers, Fillers & Spillers for some great tips and formulas for planting great looking containers.
xo,
Pamela

Awesome blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring
writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
    Any tips? Kudos!
