BlogTour Vegas: TOTO, People First Innovation

As a young girl, I grew up in a home with 4 younger sisters and my Mom ~ in a house that had one bathroom.

You can just imagine the line to get into to use the Loo! It seems there was always 1 or 2 of us waiting for our turn to use the bathroom.  If only we had had a TOTO ~and another bathroom (or 2 or 3!).

TOTO is an innovative company that is dedicated to creating an enriched and more comfortable lifestyle and culture built on their plumbing products.  Yes, TOTO makes amazing toilets but really, as I learned during BlogTour Vegas, the company and their products are about so much more!

While I was at the KBIS show in Vegas, I saw TOTO  products first-hand. Everything from their advanced line of toilets to showers, baths, and bidets were on display.

TOTO has been manufacturing products for over a century.  I’ve noticed that many of the most successful companies I saw at KBIS also have years and years of experience ~ a common thread to innovation and prosperity.

The TOTO company began in Japan before public sewage was widespread. Founder Kazuchika Okura “established a ceramic sanitary ware laboratory to develop healthier and cleaner living spaces” while protecting the planet and its water. This is a guiding principle for the TOTO company still today.

Our BlogTourVegas group was treated to a delightful breakfast at Morels, courtesy of TOTO. The presentation was done with grace and professionalism.  The only time I recall having discussed bathrooms at the dining table was when my son was an adolescent…and I squashed that talk immediately!

The way to this New England girl’s heart is fresh fruit with cream. Delish!

TOTO is always striving to be innovative and creative. They believe that a “lot of life happens in the bathroom”  (so true!) and they want to make your bathroom routine a ritual with brilliant and elegant solutions for basic human needs. And oh how they do!

During the tour of the TOTO booth at KBIS, I was taken with the Washlet™, a highly advanced personal hygiene and comfort system.

The Washlet™  can be installed on any toilet.  The Washlet™ can be a godsend to someone with limited ability to tend to their own personal hygiene ~ even allowing them to remain in their own home longer than they might be able to without this product.

If only I could have donned my ruby slippers as a girl, tapped them and received some TOTO products (as well as a scruffy puppy),  my family would have had far fewer arguments about time spent in our bathroom!
