Pamela’s Posh Picks: The Light Fantastic

Dec 14 2012 · 0 comments · My Paintings, Posh Picks ·0

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or the Winter Solstice, light in its many forms is a common thread and an integral part of the observance.  December holds the shortest, and therefore darkest, days of the year and our seasonal celebrations reflect our need for the comfort of light.

Of course who says light has to be boring to be comforting?  Certainly not me!  Today’s Posh Picks showcase vibrant, upbeat, colorful, and stylish ways to bring light into your home.

Silly Gypsy Chandelier:

I absolutely love this colorful chandelier! It adds “an outrageous dash of baroque flair to any interior” along with a whole lot of fun.  I’m am going out this weekend to buy this.  Seriously!

“Ronen” Chandelier:

“Contemporary and traditional combine perfectly in the sharp angles and multitude of crystals that form this chandelier.”  Such a beautiful combination of sparkle and brilliance!

‘Bejeweled’ Neon Chandelier:

Fun and full of color, this chandelier with neon acrylic crystals adds elegant whimsy to any space.  I love how the playful waterfall shape enhances the design.

Celeste Sphere Chandelier:

Can a light fixture have “distinct personality” and “quirky charm”?  Judging by the Celeste Sphere chandelier the answer is a definite ‘yes’!  And it’s available in a rainbow of colors, perfect to brighten up a dreary winter day.

My final Posh Pick today may be a bit biased… It’s one of  my very own chandeliers, dressed up for the season:

I can’t get enough of the baubles and metallic and crystal garlands.  I squeal with delight each time I catch a glimpse of it!

Have fun adding light to your space this holiday season, there are so many fun, and Posh, options out there!

Continuing with the Posh theme, this week’s petite interior oil painting features my interpretation of a Baccarat crystal chandelier:

Can you spot the signature red crystal??

Speaking of red, one of my dear Blogger 19 friends and fellow red lipstick enthusiast, Rebecca Reynolds of RR Kitchen Design has been running a delightful series on her blog highlighting holiday window displays from near and far.  Today she is featuring a post I contributed to, ‘Holly Folly in Hingham‘.  I encourage you to click over and take a peek!

Wishing you a light filled weekend.

xo,

Pamela
