Is there anything more quintessentially Fall than apples?  Ok, perhaps pumpkins or colorful leaves but especially here in New England, nothing says Fall like biting into a crisp, delicious apple that has been freshly picked from a local orchard.  This week’s painting captures a bounty of Autumn’s tastiest harvest ~ accented by some of my favorite, not traditionally “Fall”-like, colors…

My long two-pointed ladder’s sticking through a tree 
Toward heaven still, 
And there’s a barrel that I didn’t fill 
Beside it, and there may be two or three 
Apples I didn’t pick upon some bough.
