A Poem & A Painting: Crossing Ahead

Nov 28 2016 · 0 comments · A Poem & A Painting ·0

The end of the year and the holiday season is officially upon us.  Time seems to speed up between Thanksgiving and New Year’s ~ much like a train barreling down the tracks.  I will try to do my best to enjoy this season with grace and gratitude, stopping to recognize everything from simple pleasures to the greatest blessings.  One of the reasons I picked this painting for today was because in addition to being an actual railroad crossing, I see it as symbolizing crossing over into the Christmas season ~ and also the signal pole is reminiscent of a candy cane 😉 .

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
