This week it is very quiet in my office on the beach and a little sad.  My Assistant Extraordinaire, Jen, is moving south with her family. The daughter of my very dear and close friend, Ginny, Jen and I have been working together for 5+ years.

When she moved back to New England from North Carolina several years ago, we connected to create a book. Well, should I say, a custom iPhoto book that charted the friendship of 7 women, complete with photos and essays that spanned a 30 year connection. I wanted to create the book in time for one of the women to see it before she passed.  This was a monumental task for me:  searching for the photos, writing the essays and then putting everything online! Jen rescued me and together we produced a book, The Magnificent 7.

Jen is quiet, calm, thoughtful and a problem solver. If I have an idea (some are pretty crazy), she helps me figure out how we can accomplish it.  With her help we have launched a website and a blog (Posh Palettes). She has helped me get published and  invited on not 1 but 2 Modenus BlogTours (one to Italy)! In addition to this she has helped me further build a business that was recognized last year by ASID New England.

We’ve had so many great times while working together  but I have to share how much we laughed while “filming” the Vine Videos. We have several memorable ones but I think that the first, I Love MY Bed, with ensemble changes was our favorite, with I Love my Pool and I Love my New Grass (take a peek for a great laugh) close behind.

It may be the end of one chapter of our work together, but we are planning to still collaborate long-distance via FaceTime.  Yes, we practiced last week by going into separate rooms at my home.  As long as she calls me, I think it will work. Stay tuned….

Best of luck my sweet friend Jen, I am so blessed that you came into my life and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

xo,

P
